縁起物

縁起物(アオダイショウの抜け殻)

尾道市東御所町の飲食店「尾道ベッチャーらーめん」で、額に入った長さ約2メートルのアオダイショウの抜け殻が来店者の人気を集めている。2013年のえとである巳(み)にちなみ縁起物として飾った。

 抜け殻は11月下旬、同店を運営するYMG(同市東尾道)本社内の倉庫壁に張り付いているのが見つかった。水で洗い金箔(きんぱく)などをあしらった額縁に収め、今月13日から展示している。

 安佐動物公園(広島市安佐北区)によると大きさからヘビは20年以上生きているとみられ、平均寿命が5〜10年の種としては最大級という。

 店を訪れた福山市東陽台の松本伝(つたえ)さん(76)は「運気がアップするかも」と話した。

We have a shrine called “ichinomiyasan” whose name is kibituhiko shrine, where we hold a Becchah festival on the third of November every year. Its history is 200 years long before,around 1807. There used to be a bad plague attacking Onomichiites around the town. People wanted to get rid of the severe flu like swine flu so they asked the holy shrine to help them. They used these masks and holy bars and purified the children by hitting them on the heads. Or some kind of bamboo stick with its top is separated into pieces, called Sasara, was also used to hit the children. Of course, they weren’t hit so badly but they were scared and wanted to run away. And the three masked men,called Soba, Beta, Shokii, and plus Shisi (meaning a holy lion) to bite the children’s head. They were chasing around the children, who were naturally running around and became warm and cheerful. It had a good reason to have a festival The city of Onomichi is even now in a unique atomosphere on the Beccha festival Day. Please come and enjoy it.
The flu will be soon away to be scared. Besides Our ramen has a lot of healthy points. Using much hot red pepper, dried sea lettuce caught in the Seto Inland Sea, (means fresh and clean) plus dried small fish as its topping, (we living here in Onomichi like eating small fish caught by ourselves but commercially on TV people tend to misunderstand that we like sea bream. Actually we eat chirimen or iriko, meaning small fish, so we want to make the real rocal ramen with fish extract. A lot of calcium is necessary for our body. Please add some of your favorite green vegetable or ham, corn as you like. Enjoy this ramen in your own style, but please be careful not to put too much hot red pepper on it. When you use all of them, that makes it ten times hotter, half would be five times hotter than usual.
The ra-men box is made to symbolize the holy bar called iwaiboh,meaning the holy bar. Once the children were hit with the bars, they could survive the plague and grow up to be strong. Our Becchah ra-men is made to hope for your health and happiness 
And also we want you to remember the good and old taste originated in Onomichi.  Hot red pepper would be called Onomichi spices “Onomichi yakumi”,which was famous for its hotness and its unique flavour. So please enjoy the flavour with our ramen noodle, dried in the sunshine naturally, not by the machines.
We are proud of our forefathers’ traditional ways of making ra-men and we want to pass them on to our children.

Onomichi Becchah ra-men
Ingredient;
Noodle…wheatflour,salt,vegetableoil,color(Cape-jasmine)
Soup……soysaurce,oil,salt,chickensoup,porksoup,fishextract,protein,
sugar,vegetable-extract,spice,starch,fermentextract,texistrin(including wheat)solbit, color(caramel saurce),sake
Dried sea lettuce(caught in Japan)
Topping…hot red pepper, milk sugar, Chinese miso, sesame,fishpowder,(including wheat and soy beans) seasoning(aminoacid etc.)spice-extract

Serving way;
#1 boil a lot of water in a pan,and put the dried noodle for 3 minutes.
Not use the water, for it’s salty.
#2put another boiled water 300cc in a bowl with the soup.
(put the soup bag in the boiling water to warm )
  Our noodle is hand-made so it will last tasty long even after getting cold.
Also this ramen is purified in front of the Ichinomiya shrine to bless your health and happiness. Enjoy it in your good shape.

Onomichi Becchah Tsukemen
(noodle by dipping into hot red pepper soup)
INGREDIENT;
noodle…wheatflour,salt,vegetableoil,color(Cape-jasmine) Soup……soysaurce,oil,salt,chickensoup,porksoup,fishextract,protein,
sugar,vegetable-extract,spice,starch,fermentextract,texistrin(including wheat)solbit, color(caramel saurce),sake Dried sea lettuce(caught in Japan)
Topping…hot redpepper, milksugar, Chinese miso, sesame,fishpowder,(including wheat and soy beans) seasoning(aminoacid etc.)spice-extract
Adding a bag of dried ham chips;pork,vegetableoil,soysaurce,sugar,ferment flavour,protein,dextolin,spice,solbitol,aminoacid,
vitamin E,color(caramel sauce)starch(including wheatflour)
Serving Way;
#1 boil water in a pan
#2 put the dried noodle into the boiling water like spaghetti for 3 minutes, and stop the stove and put the lid on the pan and leave it for 2 or 3 minutes.
#3 put the noodle out into the cold water, and wash it well. The soup inside is made thick enough for you to eat as you like. Plus some water if you like.
#4 serve the noodle in a plate with some topping like boiled cabbage, cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, eggs, sesame, ham, sea lettuce, corn, etc.....You can enjoy them all by dipping into the red pepper soup.
#5 Half of the hot red pepper is made 5 times hotter than the regular. All means 10 times. So please be careful not to add too much. This is not just hot but tasty. So please enjoy its hotness.
#7 Add the dried ham inside into the dipping soup, chopped into pieces easily to eat together with the noodle.They will also make the noodle yummy.
